OK, I'm back. what did I miss?

Actually I had to go pick up my son and you wouldn't BEEE-LEIVE what our local Astros Radio Affiliate had on instead of the Astros Game. That's right. They pre-empted the National League Championship Series for the Mack Brown Show.

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Please send a note to Sports Radio 1300 and tell them what you think. This isn't the first time this has happened. We probably ought to contact the Astros Organization as well.

GO STROS!!!

1300 is contractually obligated to carry The Mack Brown Show at a certain time slot that is carried over the Texas State Radio Network. Not all the Texas State affiliates are going to carry the Astros so they still need to have that show that they are obligated to provide at that time.

Yeah, it sucks when the team you want to follow is playing the most important game in franchise history. What KVET really needed to do was move the show locally over to KASE 101 just for these games and then back over to 1300 after the Astros are finished.

The only other alternatives are to put all 3 or 4 hours of the game on KASE (bumping their normal programming for the entire night) or pick up the Astros after Mack was finished - which is what they did.
