It's a big government. Bush only has the power to apppint about 6,000 and most of these are no known to him. There is a permanent government in Washington, Even a President for Life could not outlast it.
Yes, but now republicans are targeting Rumsfeld, and I humbly think that is a mistake. We should not abandon the good fight too easily, and jump to the enemy side.
Whatever Rummy knew about this was after the fact and too late to matter. But like the Cole, it doesn't stop the enemy from blaming Bush for not responding to the Cole even though it was old news and a cold trail by the time he took office.
