The official, William Dugan, was asked why the Pentagon had not given the Able/Danger data to the FBI.
"We're a lot smarter now than we were in 1999 and 2000," replied Dugan, who testified that the Pentagon instead destroyed the huge volume of material gathered by Able/Danger, which was disbanded in late 2000.

well well we will see how smart they are..It has been implied that Able Danger uncovered Chinese - American Politician contacts that was very inconvenient to some very powerful people..and thats why it was deep six-ed.

Instead of them asking Dugan, the 9/11 commission should have asked Jamie Gorelick about her 'wall' during the 9/11 hearings. Oh, that's right, they couldn't because the Dims insisted she be on the 'bi-partisan' (not) panel.
