The airman is from 1942 (probably), and even THEY knew that clouds contain rocks, generally large rocks known as mountains.

Sad case of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) from many years ago.

What does "IIRC" mean? I've seen it frequently and even went to the Fifth Ed. of the Lexicon.... but couldn't find it there.
