Notice the comment that she wasn't picked because she's a female.

The Republican National Committee is trying to get names to sign onto a pro-Miers letter.
This is just getting pathetic.

Make no mistake. We do not argue that Harriet Miers deserves a spot on the Supreme Court because she is female.
Other than the fact that Bush knows her AND she has female genitalia, why the hell else was she picked?

More and more, the intractable problems in our society have one answer: broad-based intolerance of unacceptable conditions and a commitment by many to fix the problems. This is why there must be an effective call to arms.

If only the administration would put this much energy into Social Security reform, the ownership society, and tax reform.

She doth protest a bit too much, don't you think?

If we had a MSM that was worth anything they would be going after those 14 cowards who produced this "stealth only" candidate environment.
Blame the spineless republicans for creating this political reality.
If they don't want this to happen again they better bulldoze the country club.

What I find alarming, is that on every indicator of character and loyalty revealed to date; some of which include her religion, education, employment and politics; Miers clearly demonstrates someone with a history of switching sides for personal gain.
This nomination reflects a reward for services rendered, not an elevation of a True Defender of the Constitution.

We do argue that being female has led her to have experiences and insights that add to her qualifications to serve on the Court. Can we ask the RNC to elaborate? I would like details of these experiences and insights.
