Top Intellectual Con Man. How pathetic.
For quite a while he denied the Cambodian genocide happened. Too bad he didn't check to see for himself like the late apologist for Pol Pot Gareth Porter, he of the infamous Institute for Policy Studies, who did stay in Cambodia a bit too long and who seems to have learned the truth the hard way. (Just Kidding, Noam.)
You're right, Lessingham. Chomsky said the "rumors" of the killing fields were "tales of Communist atrocities" based on "unreliable accounts." He also said the executions only "numbered in the thousands" and were "aggravated by the threat of starvation resulting from American distraction and killing." In other words, it was America's fault.
He's quite fond of any and every communist dictator known to mankind, it seems. No small wonder he's highly regarded by the Left.
