This is what happened when President Bush tried to get along with backstabbing liars. When he embraced Ted Kennedy, Bill & Hillary Clinton instead of people who helped get him elected. I thought he would learn from what his father went through but I guess not. These people are not going to play nice so unless you want to deal with scandals treat them like they treat you! Fight like hell! When they start something get out there and fight back!!!

Democrats haven't had any new ideas in forty years, and after the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Bill, they've all been disasters. Busing for integration, bilingualism in schools, abortion rights, gay rights, multi-culturalism, anti-capitalism environmental eco-terrorism, cutting funds for the military and intelligence agencies, lax law enforcement, drugs for school children, high taxes, etc. The Dems abandoned their longtime stance of trying to fairly represent the working class and disenfranchised while remaining pro-military and patriotic to outright leftist, anti-military, anti-traditional family, and anti-American causes.

"So no matter what political nightmare democrats are able to cook up for republicans, in the end, it will be written into history as yet another failed act of desperation by a party no longer representing the mainstream of American life. In the end, it will cause a further, maybe final fatal erosion of support for the once great party of the people, which has become nothing more that a party of the socialist elite."

I beg to differ. The Democratic Party was certainly the dominant party, but it was never "great". By the time of Woodrow Wilson the Democratic Party was sponsoring a legislative agenda that was plainly unconstitutional. And from FDR on, socialism was the centerpiece of a party completely out of touch with reality.
