My office used to get pretty underdressed as the tax deadline approached. Shoes off, and sometimes people had pillows so they could put their heads on the desk for an hour. The important thing was being there!
During my first pregnancy, I had a horrible skin rash for a couple of weeks, and simply couldn't wear decent clothes. My boss said it was better to be there in my bathrobe than to stay home! I went to work at 5:00 a.m., and they passed files to me over the partition!
