Good heavens. From a tropical storm to a cat 5 in 24 hours. So what have we got going for us now? Some shear when the high turns it towards us? Maybe a cat 3 at landfall?

So what have we got going for us now? Some shear when the high turns it towards us? Maybe a cat 3 at landfall? There's also the fact that the Yucatan Channel is not that wide, so not all the water that Wilma will be pushing the next day or so will make it into the Gulf and into Florida.
