Strange quote. What does he mean by --- Trust Miers with his wife -----?
I think it means if he's wrong, you can take his wife... Probably the correct quote should be:
"I would trust her with my wife OR my life."
Not quite sure how that fits into the present controversy. Anyone could trust Souter with their wife..
