It means that she supports the underpinning of Roe v Wade. It makes it that much less likely that Roe will be overturned. Not necessarily. Roberts supports Griswold, but put a fence around it in his testimony (see one of the early posts on this thread) such that he could legitimately overturn Roe v. Wade ("the arguments presented in favor of Griswold are applicable only to Griswold.")

Maybe Miers feels the same....about putting a fence around Griswold...
after all, it WAS Brian Wilson that went from Specter's remark, to Griswold, to Roe V. Wade....it wasn't Specter.
