I was with a Brit client a few years ago, and he said he was "...feeling a bit peckish."

He was saying he was a bit hungry. I thought he was telling us he was feeling a bit randy...

You're quite welcome, and I'm glad that you liked the linked page.  :-)

Something that I found particularly interesting about British Slang is the history and the variations of it.  Some slang expressions were begun by criminals, so that they could talk amongst themselves without the police understanding what they were saying.  There's also an entire subset of slang called British Rhyming Slang, which takes rhyming phrases and makes slang expressions out of them.
