As soon as I read these words
"...when he and a local minister tried to calm the rioters Saturday, they were cursed and a masked gang member threatened to shoot him."
I knew that it wasn't the "white supremacists" who did it!
What about the black supremacists who massed in Washington DC Saturday? Why no news about their hatred for the USA?

White Supremacists Riot in Toledo, Ohio
Mayor of Toledo, Ohio, Declares Emergency, Sets Curfew After Hundreds of White Supremacists Riot
By JOHN SEEWER Associated Press Writer
Dear Sirs:
The biased spin is never more apparent than when ABC actually changes the headline and the by-line on a story to make it say exactly the OPPOSITE of what really happened when the facts and circumstances fail to align with your world view. To be fair, I suppose it might be possible that the Associated Press and Mr. John Seewer may have actually edited their story after your ABC online version was posted, but if this is the case, then you owe your readers a corrected version and the grossly inaccurate version linked above should be retracted and a published correction put out there.
When I search other internet news sites and then go directly to the AP website, I find only stories which tell the reverse of what your misleading ABC headline reports. Two examples:

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Protesters at a white supremacists' march
I am also watching the reports of this event on television right now and the video from Toledo shows a VERY different story then your ABC headlines would imply. While there may have been a bit of 'violence' from both ends (marchers and protesters), the RIOTING was very clearly the work of people protesting the marchers... Facts are: "White Supremacists" did NOT "Riot in Toledo, Ohio" and your headline in your ABC online story is not even simply a different perspective on the story. Your headline is a lie and an attempt to tell the story as you wish it had happened. This is unforgiveable for any serious news organization.
This type of reporting is VERY disturbing and upsetting. There is no excuse for this behavior and with the by-line in addition to the headline, it is obvious that this is NOT a simple typographical error where the word "anti" was inadvertently left out.
Do the right thing here and correct your story. Do it publicly and do it loudly. You have sinned against journalism.
Best regards,
