Well good luck to him, I just hope, if he gets elected, that he doesn't get Tancredo'ed.

"I have decided to become a Republican candidate for U.S. Congress [ see: http://www.KaloogianForCongress.com ] in the seat being vacated by Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham. "

I am happy to hear this -- well, sort of. I would rather see him run for Senator and beat Boxer or Feinstein.
But in the meantime, I am glad he is running for Congress.

This is a secure Republican district. The primary will be the race and I like this guy and his chances.

* BORDER CONTROL. Securing our borders once and for all and stopping the taxpayer-funded giveaways to illegal aliens.
* DEFEAT TERRORISM. Supporting our troops and their fight against terrorism, and making sure that we don't allow our elected leaders to back down and/or impose restraints on our military as was done to our fighting men and women in Vietnam.
* STOP WASTEFUL SPENDING. Ending the ridiculous addiction to spending on massive government programs. I hate to say it, but plenty of 'Republicans' have shown the same inability to 'just say NO' to more spending as their Democrat counterparts.
Hoorah! The very issues the GOP should have been focusing on since 9-11. Go Howard!!

My guess is that Cunningham decided not to run again, because of the investigation of some alleged impropriety for selling his house at an alleged inflated price to a contractor. I don't recall the details.

I know all that. I was wondering if there was any updates to the story. They just can't help themselves, can they? Duke Cunningham...what a disappointment.

I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.
But just allegations are enough, to keep people from running.
These are the Dems latest and most effective tactics. They can't win in elections, so they accuse the Republicans of everything under the sun, hoping something will stick.

I urge all Freepers in Howard's district to support his candidacy.
Conservatives with Howard's credentials are becoming scare in the Republican Party.
To: onyx
Of course! Your dead relatives may vote too!!!
Oh wait. This isn't the Dim party. Carry on.
