Which could be taken as a backhand.....Bush isn't the most conservative of politicians. Allen could almost sign on to reparations and still be to the right of Bush.

It could be.However, I firmly believe that Allen and President Bush are VERY similar in there conservative world view.I simply do not believe Allen is more conservative in ANY way than President Bush.
