Half the base huh? Like to see the data where that is a proven fact, not just an assumed talking point made up in someone's head. Link please. As for "not realizing it", I beg to differ. Just because a few conservative elites cant stand the fact that they are not as influential as they thought themselves to be doesn't mean that the Bush Administration does not realize it. It may be more a fact of letting children throw their tantrums till they tire and ignoring them. As for electoral problems in "06". I think that has more to do with the egos on you list then the ones in the White House.
