5 day forecast shows this becoming a hurricane and taking a sharp turn north, towards the Gulf.
LOL!
yikes!
Geez.
Oh well, the supplies I have been 'laying-in' for the flu pandemic will work as well for a hurricane.

Right now, teh 'Glades is totally flooded, far beyond the norm as water management does it's thing once again.
If a hurricane comes through here, it will find lots of very warm water, thanks to water management and the sun. Not the thermal capacity of warm Gulf water, but not the cooling factor one might expect either.
FYI...
There goes the winter garden.
Thanks for the ping.
Nooooooooooooooooo! Key West better not get destroyed! I'm flying to Ft Lauderdale in 4 weeks then driving down to Key West for a nice, relaxing week off. Worst case scenario, I can stay in FLL or Miami, instead.
FINALLY, we get some good sleeping weather and yet another tropical system pops-up.
Guess it'll swing north once this cold front sweeps through.

Thanks to you I'm gonna have the Flintstone theme song stuck in my head. I hope we sing How Great Thou Art today. I need something really good to knock 'the modern stone age family' tune out of my mind.

Generally it's red wine that gives people a headache, and beer also affects some people that way. Nobody's sure why, but they think it's the sulfites in the red wine and beer that does it.
White wine doesn't have the high level of sulfites in it, and better aged white wines (and more expensive ones .. . natch) seem to cause fewer problems than cheap young wine.
I DO hope Wilma quietly fritters away and/or wanders off somewhere unpopulated and far, far away from our Gulf Coast. A deserted part of the Yucatan would be nice . . .
Thre more and the have to start names over with 'A' again. Has that ever happened before?
Wilma is the last name for the 2005 season. If another named storm follows Wilma, it will be alpha, beginning names from the greek alphabet.
