Too little too late for me. She should step down.

Interesting. Prior to the nomination, we were told by many that choosing the right person for SCOTUS this was the most important decision bar none. Now it's she'll do just fine, our panties are in a wad, it's really no biggy, and well just have to see how it goes.

Interesting thread the other day, when Buchanan wrote about the implied sexist statements regarding those that opposed this nomination. Yet all the qualified male candidates, those with proven track records, were completely passed over.

Sexist indeed.

Maybe so. It might be that thinking outside the box will give better results than we have seen in the past 50 years. There have been some amazing mistakes where they got a Constitutional scholar all right, and thought they were getting a Conservative as well, but got a Progressive of some kind with a solid Constitutional background. Lack of time on the bench is something to think about, but time on the bench is also no guarantee; also, most judges started out as lawyers, as also with many legislators.

Yeah. Just what we really wanted.

A SCOTUS nominee who needs to study Con Law long enough to get through her initial grilling by the Senate.

Um, maybe someone who actually KNOWS Con Law may have been a wiser choise? After all, they ARE deciding The Most Important Issues in the Land.

Me..I always wanted to be a Brain Surgeon. Maybe if I "crammed" for a couple of weeks, I could finally get a gig.

Any volunteers for Operation #1?
