The New York Post has been skidding downhill ever since the death of Eric Breindel.

I didn't appreciate the (forced) departure of Scott McConnell either.

Add to that the fact that they've dropped Hilton Kramer, Don Feder, and a host of other equally captivating syndicated columnists-in favor of substandard in-house talent-and there really isn't much too offer.

Plus, they're in the tank for HRC.

Nuff said.

Eric Breindel. Wow, there's a blast from the past.

The papers have gotten boring. Too afraid to take chances. I blame the recent outbreak of sobriety among New York journalists. What we need is Jimmy Breslin, standing on Third Avenue at 3 a.m., tie undone, shirt tails out, howling drunkenly at the moon.
