Add to that the fact that they've dropped Hilton Kramer, Don Feder, and a host of other equally captivating syndicated columnists-in favor of substandard in-house talent-and there really isn't much too offer.
Plus, they're in the tank for HRC.

The papers have gotten boring. Too afraid to take chances. I blame the recent outbreak of sobriety among New York journalists. What we need is Jimmy Breslin, standing on Third Avenue at 3 a.m., tie undone, shirt tails out, howling drunkenly at the moon.
