I don't think a lot of the Anti-Miers people realize they are displaying EXACTLY what is wrong with the Courts. It is EXACTLY this superficial, arrogant "We know better then everyone else" attitude that is the major reason the Anti-Miers are LOSING this argument. Find it really funny when supposed "Conservatives" who have spent years bashing the "Elitest News Media" suddenly find it their new best friend when it starts saying things it wants to hear.

The Law Guild seems to think it is the MASTER of the people and only it's self-selected 'High Priests' can be allowed to sever as judges. I know this will come as a big shock to the rather pedestrian intellects that populate the legal profession, and the punditry, these days, but the people of this country have neither the need, nor the desire, to be a judicial theocracy. We have NO interest in allowing a self appointed tribe of self anointed"Elites" to use the Courts as the vehicle by which they imposing their minority position emotional whimsies on the rest of us.

Points well taken but this small writing sample stinks.

I sincerely hope she just needed coffee the day she wrote it. :)

Take a look at the FR poll.

65% of FReepers polled either don't support her nomination, or they feel they don't have enough information to.

Your argument is "fight the elites by nominating a dummy?"

Good going!

They have no desire to be a secular theocracy either.
