I'm more worried about her being another o'conner on the court than her writing.

If she was a conservative that couldn't write at least she could get her clerks to do that for her.

I'd rather have a conservative that couldn't write and be another vote for scalia majority opinion than a moderate that could write.

But with O'Conner she is not a conservative and can't write either.

Exactly! But some people have very twisted priorities.

I believe that when Jerry Falwell came out against O'Connor in 1981, her ascerbic sponsor, Barry Goldwater, attacked Falwell, saying that the VA minister deserved a "good, quick kick" in the exterior. Of course, Falwell had supported Goldwater for President in 1964. In retrospect, Falwell has been far more right than Goldwater and not just on O'Connor. So, now does Falwell support Miss Miers?
