The biggie is 75. If you can get that one passed, reform can begin.

"They supported McClintock, or so they said, but the effect was trying to split conservatives, to get Bustamante elected. Now they try to split conservatives, to help Democrats defeat the reform propositions, even though McClintock is supporting Arnold's propositions."
Well, I don't know if I'm ready to buy into that. I myself have been accused of supporting Nancy Pelosi because I'm not a fan of the Miers pick.
Still, I have to wonder what is the basis for the opposition to these props from this group? (I'm sure they've offered an explanation but I haven't heard it). Seem to me to be very much needed common sense reforms. Perhaps it's simply that Arnold's associated with them.
Anyway, have a nice weekend, and I do appreciate your resilience

Saw a very effective TV ad today featuring a public school teacher supporting Prop 75. Man, I'm loving every minute of this proposition fight. I haven't seen libs so torn up since, well, since the recall!

Saw that ad, too. Not only is she a teacher, but she says she's a democrat supporting Prop 75.
Very good ad. It followed a union ad and was much more effective IMO.

I fail to see how helping Bustamante to become governor, or helping the Democrats to defeat a spending cut initiative and Arnold's other CA reform propositions is consistent with the conservative position. This is such a lame argument. We are discussing Arnold here, not the election. You also fail to see that Arnold is NOT advancing conservative ideas.

My position has always been and still is one, that ADVANCES THE CONSERVATIVE AGENDA.Then why your support for Arnold who doesn't ADVANCE CONSERVATIVE AGENDAS?

the last thing we need is FReepers helping out the Democrats to defeat reform in CA. The last thing we need is Republicans like you helping this RINO advance a more liberal agenda and a larger budget than Davis had.

I've been watching a bit of this.
Arnie got elected when he said basically he'd clean house.
And now all the teachers etc etc etc are having a hemorage.
But I imagine if one was to truly look at the situation, the biggest political groups and spheres of influence in any state are:
teachers and education association
public employees unions just waitin for their retirement to kick in
the trial lawyers association
So Arnie is basically doing what he said he'd do...

Do you consider Tom McClintock and Ray Haynes RINO-s?
They are strongly supporting a YES vote on Arnold's reform Propositions.
You are either voting yes or no on the propositions. The Democrats and the Public Employees Unions are waging an all out campaign to get people to vote NO. If you are voting NO, YOU are the one who is voting WITH the Democrats FOR the Democrats agenda. So who is the REAL RINO here?

Well... Ok, but that's a pretty parochial measure don'tcha think?
Oh! And I don't particularly care what McClintock's opinions of measures are. I've told you before that for either you or I to fall in love with any politician is dangerous!!! It'll break your heart every time!!!
You better not be so deeply in love with the slippery celebrity, or else your gonna pay with your heart in the end!!! Watchout now...

Key supporters also include conservatives Tom McClintock, and Ray Haynes.
Which camp do we want to be in?
