Teacher Accused Of Oral Sex On Her 9-Year-Old Student

SYLVESTER, Ga. -- A third-grade teacher accused of performing oral sex on a 9-year-old boy, allowing students to peek down her blouse and slashing her wrists with glass in front of her students pleaded not guilty to the 24 criminal charges she faces.

Georgianne Harrell, 24, was indicted last month on 24 charges of child molestation and reckless conduct.

Her attorney entered the plea on her behalf and waived her right to an arraignment Tuesday.

Harrell cut her wrists with broken glass in front of her class at Holley Elementary School, according to the indictment.

Authorities also say she performed oral sex on a 9-year-old boy in her classroom, let students peek down her blouse and talked to some of the children about sexual matters.

Between August 2004 and May, authorities claim she abused a total of 7 students. She has resigned from the school.

If convicted on all charges, she could receive maximum sentences ranging up to hundreds of years, prosecutors said.

Fired? It's a public school. Interesting that although this is a Florida station, the events happened in GA. Usually we expect this in FL or CA.

That because there is sex inequality in the USA. Women receive lighter sentences and punishment for similar crimes.

When women commit crimes, the public sympathizes with the women and examines the plight in her life that led her to reach such lows.

Let me called it the Oprahfrication™ of the citizens in the USA.

Example: There was an attempted attack on a pregnant women recently where another women tried to cut the baby out and steal it from the mother.

If a man did this, it would be all over the news and there would be calls for his head literally. Greta would spend weeks on the topic. Since the perpetrator was a women, people shrug and feel sorry for her because she could not have her own child naturally.

The term "Oprahafication" is a really great one. I remember when the woman who drove her car into the pond and killed her two little boys was Oprah's subject-of-the-day, and all the stupid crap they talked about on her show had nothing to do with the fact that this woman was a stone-cold killer!! They seemed to feel sorry for this killer, and I'm watching it thinking they ought to shoot her or hang her.
