Doesn't God know beforehand, what our free-will choices are going to be? And isn't that foreknowledge factored into His plan, of which we are all part of?

Correlation doesn't prove causation.

I only say that because statistically doesn't being MALE also carry an increased tendency to be a pedophile?

Show me studies, please? I haven't seen much to say that there is any higher rate of pedophilia in the gay community than in the straight community.

Please don't think I'm picking, I just like to see statements supported by fact. It makes things better for all of us.

I don't remember ever even thinking about it, much less choosing.

It does seem that some suggest that sexuiality is like walking into the ice cream store and choosing what flavor you want to have that day?

would you enjoy a gladiatorial fight to the death? Watching people fed to wild beasts?

That would depend on the participants. I would fork over the pay per view fee for death match featuring the swimmer vs. sheets, and I would happily watch the senators from CA and NY being fed to wild animals.

The animals probably would'nt eat them or take a bite and start projectile vomiting, though.

I've always thought that, but few here want to say that God actually made some people homo instead of hetero.

Abortion will cease the day science proves there is a gene causing homosexuality. They would never want one of their own possibly aborted.

Judging by a lot of the things I've read here on FR over the years, it would appear that there's a lot of people here that actually do His editing for Him...

The God I know gave people free will.

That would be the case if homosexuality were genetic in nature. There was a thread on FR last week that suggested one cause may be chemical exposure in the womb during a critical period of fetal development. Under that case, there would be no evolutionary pressure at work. Homosexuality could then be considered a non-genetic birth defect.

Considering the vast majority of gay partners are one night flings, ironically that is unintentially is an accurate assessment.

A male dog humping another male is not a homosexual act. It is an attempt to induce pleasure to himself, using another. It is an animalistic act by definition, just like two men using each other. Animals do not act homosexual, humans act like animals.

"Some say homosexuality was actually an evolutionary trait, to keep humans from overpopulating in areas where resources were scarcer."

...

Then how do you explain the gross over population in China, India, particulary the Middle East, South America where homosexuality exists(not so openly)?

The "[evolution] cannot be reproduced in a laboratory environment" argument is based on semantics. You're trying to disprove it with a technicality, not on merit. We're talking about a process that is active over thousands of generations, not thousands of hours worth of testing.

As for the theory vs. fact argument - I believe in God, but have never seen actual physical proof of his existence. And don't feed me the "you're here, that's proof" line. You've already set the bar for proof as being subject to laboratory testing.I think the biggest reason that people disagree with evolution is because they don't understand it. I had a conversation over dinner with some friends. One of the boyfriends of a grlfriend of mine explained to me why evolution doesn't make sense. He said something like, "evolution is the dumbest theory. I can't see how anyone believes that if I can't reach something, I'll just grow my arm a foot longer to reach it." I tried to explain that it didn't work like that, but he would have nothing of it, so I just let it go.

I don't expect you or him to agree. You've already made up your mind. But an opposing idea can still be valid without your consent.

I might choose which chick in the bar I want to sleep with like I would choose a flavor of ice cream, but I don't choose that I want to sleep with chicks and not the dudes standing next to them.
