Yes - they proved it was "fake" since the "typeface" on the terrorist letter is only found on manual typewriters as issued to the TX ANG in the early to late 1960s...

Buckhead should not be flattered.
Will al-Queda now fire Muhammed Mapes?
To: SIRTRIS
Lets keep our powder dry until Ayman al-Zawahri confirms it with his own voice, otherwise this is just disinformation from Zarqawi.

So a letter asking Sunni muslim psychopaths not to kill and behead other muslims is a fake, eh?? It follows then that al- queda wants muslims to kill muslims, as a way, I suppose, to win muslims over to their side. That's some logic there.

They can tell it's a fake because the "i"'s are dotted with little hearts.

Al Qaeda in Iraq says Zawahri letter is fake Well, Reuters (which calls the beheaders "fighters") and Yahoo (which hired the loathsome Kevin Sites after his attempt to frame a combat Marine went awry) would probably have pretty good connexions with Al Qaeda...
That they have commented on the letter, rather than ignoring it, shows that our IO is hurting them.
I'm not surprised that the US media have not dwelt on Ayman al-Zawahiri's assertion that "more than 50 percent of the battle is in the media." More than 50 percent of al-Zawahiri's support is, also. If it wasn't for their fluffers in Reuters and AP, the terrorists would be all alone.

"Al Qaeda's wing in Iraq on Thursday rejected as a fabrication a letter by top group leader Ayman al-Zawahri which was issued by U.S. officials this week, according to an Internet posting."
I thought Al Qaeda had nothing to do with Iraq. /s

Nah, this is the fake, the other letter was real.

It could be Psy-Ops and a fake. Glad it got distributed around the globe either way, slows AQ recruits and allows us to keep killing the enemy without mercy.

Let's see, a letter which declares that ultimately Sunnis have to fight Shiites gets publicized. Do I believe that it got disavowed? Certainly. Do I believe that it's fake? Hey, I know - maybe it's fake but accurate!

That's some logic there. And, the part about playing along with the shiites for a while until they can be enslaved under a Sunni caliphate is a little akward too.

If you can't believe al Qaeda in Iraq, who can you believe? It all comes down to trust. If you're a Liberal or Socialist weenie, who ya gonna trust.

I think the letter is real and I further believe it is devastating to the ragheads. It makes them look weak and at odds with each other in the high command structure.
Given the contents of this letter, what other possible course of action could the savages have taken other then denial?
To: SIRTRIS
Clearly the letter is fake - that's why 'ol Zarq. is whining so much....
ROTFLMAO!
