"President Bush: Please pull the nomination."

Hey brivette: Please pull my finger.

Did you vote for W?

Yes or No.

In a race between a Socialist and a Moderate, yes I voted for the Moderate.

" In time all you naysayers will be eating your words when you are proved wrong about the Presidents pick"

Given the poor recstrict Constitutionalists/originalists, why do you think the odds are better now?

And why not a known originalist? Or does such a SCOTUS justice not please you?

"One way or another one side in this debate will be dining on crow."

Right, you are. But I'll be happy to dine on humble pie stuffed with crow because then Miers will be a proven originalist. But if her supporters munch on crow, then the Republic will have been betrayed. more Kelo decisions will occur, ad nauseam.

Have you heard of covering one's bets? Why take a chance of an unknown when we have Brown , Luttig, etc. waiting and ready?

I think what critics are asking now is whether he is taking orders from the CFR, of which he is a member. As was his father, and Bill Clinton.

The stakes are too high to act on faith of any man, even Prsident Bush.

I haven't been listening to her lately.

What is her point?

She is not at all happy with Miers. Today, for two hours she went on and on about how Pres. Bush needed to just withdraw her nomination and replace her with a "serious nominee".

Rush gave an excellent reasoning for his skepticism yesterday, which I completely understand and appreciate. But he isn't ranting for hours about how her name should be withdrawn without consideration.

I know Pres Bush would not just throw any old body up there, especially now. And I trust Rush.

Currently, I think people are judging her because she is not "tried and true". I need to learn more about her before deciding one way or the other. For now, I think she is "check" with a pawn.

Fine, then she'll just be defeated by the Senate instead.
I was looking for a more graceful exit strategy.

The way to find out is simple. Miers withdraws and one of them is nominated. Easy.
