"So do I. This correspondence shouldn't be released."
So you want to reinterpret the law to mean what you want it to mean instead of what it says?
And at the same time suggest that you can identify constitutional originalists by sight?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
jveritas says: The anti-Miers camp .... are [now] using tactics worse than the hateful Left to attack President Bush and Miers.
How exactly is the Texas State Library and Archives Commission part of "the anti-Miers camp"? Or is The Smoking Gun supposed to be part of the "hateful" anti-Miers camp for publishing public documents?
Let's get's this straight:
1. the Texas State Library and Archives Commission releases public documents
2. The Smoking Gun publishes these documents
3. adam_az posts without comment
4. Miers backers including jveritas attack critics of the nomination as "disgusting and disgraceful"
You people have issues.
How dare you point out that Miers discriminated against caucasians! You poeople will stop at nothing.
"How dare you point out that Miers discriminated against caucasians! You poeople will stop at nothing."
I'm assuming this was sarcasm..
But if not, She was following 'Texas Goverment code'..
So where is HER discrimination?
(if your statement was meant as sarcasm then please ignore the question)
My comment was sarcasm.
It's not like she took a stand against the discrimination known as "affirmative action." She just followed it to the hilt, without question.
In fact, I can't point to ANY courageous stand she's taken on a constitutional issue. Can you?
I find it disgusting that the MSM now considers it appropriate to publish personal notes between two people for no reason except to try to create a sense of embarrassmnt over affection and regard expressed. Did we see a rush to obtain and publish birthday greetings written to Bill Clinton, Algore, Hillary, etc. by staff members??? Is there any real public need for this nonsense?
btw, I am confident that there must have been many many notes written to Bill Clinton by a wide variety of his appointees that were a lot more sentimental than these!
I sure can see why many good judical nominees decline. This kind of invasion of personal life is mean and nasty.
Do you think? Either that or a kiss-azz.
Do you think? Either that or a kiss-azz.
Actually it does. I now know Miers sends card when she forgets important events, writes happy thoughts to friends and likes puppy cards. IOW a nice person.
Fine :)
