I strongly suspect the two wanted a daughter so they could indoctrinate her into their club.
I knew a woman once who's daugter became a lesbian and suddenly her partner and her daughter wanted to take her younger daughter overnight. These folks love to pass their twisted thoughts on to others, especially impressionable youth.
