A Swedish man who donated sperm to a lesbian couple will have to pay child support, the Supreme Court has ruled.
The man, from Örebro, is biological father to three children with the couple. The Supreme Court has now confirmed rulings by two lower courts that he is liable to support them.
The 39-year old man donated his sperm to the lesbian couple at the beginning of the nineties. Three sons were born between 1992 and 1996.
The man claims that it was never intended that he should take reponsibility for the children, but rather that the women would be their parents and he would meet them occasionally.
Under pressure from the women he signed a document admitting paternity, and on this basis the court decided that he had the financial duties of a father.

LOL - you are quite talented in a weird sort of way!Sigh! If only I had a nickel for every time a girl told me that. Or a quarter for every time a one-legged homosexual midget told me that.

It's not "gynocracy", whatever that is, it's just screwed up people doing things the wrong way.
FWIW, people I know personally who did something like this had it backfire too, at least it backfired on some of the parties... after the baby was born, one of the women, the one who bore the child, decided she was in love with the father, leaving the other mom in the cold, so to speak. The twist is, since she had gone through legal adoption of the infant, the second mom is now paying child support to the two bio parents.

Yep, I was 'stuned' until I read
"Under pressure from the women he signed a document admitting paternity, and on this basis the court decided that he had the financial duties of a father."
and that's all she wrote, so to speak. He should countersue for custody though :)

That's horrible.
I admit to a jaundiced view. I've been through Family Court. I think it's a gynoautocracy. 'Pod.

With the logic that this court used, one is liable for supporting anyone that receives one's blood that allows that person to live. Just think, you are responsible for supporting someone for life because they got your blood.

The man claims that it was never intended that he should take reponsibility for the children, but rather that the women would be their parents and he would meet them occasionally. That was his mistake! When you donate your sperm give them the cup and walk away. This guy wanted visitation rights which is probably why he had to admit paternity. I don't feel sorry for him at all. If you want to visit your genetic offspring then take some responsibility.
