Ball didn't hit the ground.

Amazing how one sees what one wants to see.

Ump punched him out. Players began to leave the field, catcher rolled ball back to mound. Then batter goes to first, after crossing plate opposite way back to his dugout.

Rank bush league stunts don't a great team make.

Black Sox ride again.

Sure they pulled it off. Big deal. Cheaters often "win" with win in quotes.

Mike Sciosa made no excuses. And he;s right. One has to still be able to beat cheaters. We here at FR should all understand that with the dem voter fraud that has to be factored in to all elections.

These things happen. Angels have to deal with it. Black Sox will be called the Black Sox and if they win their win will always be tainted and marred by this. This stunt may have got them one victory, but in the long run hurts them.

It was a great game and it's sad to see such bush league play be resorted to.

White Sox were a great team this year, worthy of a lot of respect. It went out the window today.

yeah, talk about Bush League...

Lazy Catcher can't get ball out of glove to throw out base stealer at 2nd base = Bush League....

Pathetic Pitcher gets 0-2 Count on batter with two outs and throws a meatball right down the middle... = Bush League....

Crede rips said ball against the wall to win game since lazy left fielder wasn't in position to make catch = Bush League...

Guess this Bush League stuff can go both ways huh?

Don't forget the game was still tied with Two outs and a guy at first AFTER this call.

Bunch of sore losers, IMHO....

Ball didn't hit the ground.

I could clearly see the ball bounce up into the catchers glove on the zoomed in centerfield camera replay. I watched it again on my digital HDD recorder in slow motion on a slow motion replay (i.e. super slow motion) and comfirmed that. The Angels' catcher was no doubt unaware of the fact that the ball had short-hopped into his glove and assumed that he had made a clean catch. His big mistake, though, was not asking the umpire if the batter was out or simply tagging Pierzynski before rolling the ball out to the mound. No wonder he's a third stringer.

(By the way, I'm a Cardinals fans who is rooting for the Angels in the ALCS.)
