E-mail from Bret Schundler: Don't write in my name VOTE for Doug Forrester
e-mail from Scundler.org | Bret Schundler

Dear Friends,

An e-mail has been circulating which asks people to write in my name for Governor this November. Please do not do that. Vote for Doug Forrester, instead. The differences between Doug Forrester and me are not nearly as great as the differences between Jon Corzine and me.

Moreover, if I had won the Primary, we certainly would have wanted, and expected, Doug Forrester's supporters to get behind our efforts. If Jon CorzIne wins, New Jersey will be hurt. For the sake of our families, we have to support Doug!

Sincerely,

BRET SCHUNDLER

So, was the email being circulated by Corzine supporters as a Dem dirty trick, or was it a sincere (misguided?) attempt by a Schundler supporter?

many of the pro lifers wanted to write in Schundler. Forrester is with tom Kean in being pro abortion; however, there is hope (he graduated Princeton theological Seminary with an M.Div.) that he would vote for parental notification and a 24 hr. waiting period and shares the views of Bush with not funding new lines of embryonic stem cells or using public money to fund the NJ Stem Cell Institute.

I really like Schundler and was able to vote for him in the past, but it wouldn't be prudent now.

This is where I part with a lot of pro-lifers. They'd rather lose the whole ball game than compromise.

One step at a time will get you there, but if you refuse to take the first step, then you're stuck in the same place spinning your wheels.

Shouldn't be much room for hope there. Princeton Theological is part of the liberal PCUSA.
