She's right about Miers - look at Ann's recitation of her supposed lists of firsts. Leaving that aside, this nomination is dead since while your nominee can survive savaging by the opposition, your nominee won't have much in the way of go to go when your own supporters start compiling lines for the late night comedy skits. Its time for Miers to withdraw.

If Meirs was put up by a democrat with certain democratic leanings people would be screaming upside down and inside out about an affirmative action/quota type of hire.
You know, it's great when Ann slams RINOs and Liberals but when she applies the same standard to the Republican party she's a shrew, a mean hag and an elitist.
Bush didn't put up the best person for the job and it is an insult to conservative principles. People are far too willing to extend her courtesies that she hasn't earned with her record.
