Just what we need, a leftist media outlet run by a foreign government.

Well I for one would definitely watch. I try to catch the BBC newscast on BBC America as it provides a different POV. Of course compared to Fox and Friends in the morning, static would be better TV watching

Yeah, all we really need is a station that only tells us what we want to hear.

How about an unbiased TRUTH? The BBC isn't exactly known for being "fair and balanced."

Waste of license payers money. Someone needs to slap the Board of Directors.
To: frankjr
Unbiased, trustworthy???? Lying at the beginning is going to win them a lot of viewers.

How do we really know, when anyone is telling the truth? Don't we usually believe the ones that we agree with?

So do I. It's the only place where I can find out stories from around the world. I would welcome expanded newscasts. But I don't like their leftist slant. I miss Michele Husain. Katty Kay started out ok, but she's really a lefty it turns out. Husain provided much more balanced covereage and did great interviews.

BBC World's coverage is often more indepth, so I, too, enjoy watching it every now and then.
To: frankjr
Why? CNN International is all Brit and more left than CNN.

I don't like their bias, but BBC news is the only organization that provides any sort of in-depth coverage of serious international news. I can't stand FOX anymore because of their non-stop tabloid-like coverage of stories like Laci Peterson and Natalie Holloway. CNN is obviously a joke too....

Why? CNN International is all Brit and more left than CNN. It's not more left than CNN; it's what the people at CNN really think.
