Former Vice President Al Gore said Wednesday he had no intention of ever running for president again.
"I have absolutely no plans and no expectations of ever being a candidate again," said Gore, who lost the 2000 election to President Bush.

Please Al, please run. Please. You are the hope of the '90s.
Note how he leaves the door open for an unplanned, unexpected run...
And we again have no plans to vote for him.
What this really means: "Oh please, draft me, tell me you want me, I really want to run. Please, please."
Translation: "Hillary said 'no.'"
Come on Al, have the guts to say it the way Sherman did:
"If nominated, I will not run; if elected, I will not serve".
The way you said it leaves it wide open for you to change your position, which is something you do so well to begin with.
Irrelevant Headline of the Week.
At last, some good news on FreeRepublic.com
Hopefully he'll change his mind. I was kind of looking forward to the Hillary vs. Kerry vs. Gore debates.
Clintons won't let him.
They gave him one shot only (with minimal support) and let him know in no uncertain terms that he would have to stand aside after that.
That is the main reasons why he was so utterly frantic and childish in Florida.
Gore's "I'm not gonna be Vince Foster" realization.
Actually, I fully expect Algore to be in the hunt for 2008. It will be the Night of the Retreads on the Donk side, with Kerry, Algore and Hillary! squaring off. The Party of Ideas, don'tcha know...
Darn, this is sad news because next time was his big chance.
Or: Dear Al. I don't think so. Love, Hill.
If Algore were a Republican, the Yahoo! headline would have read "Gore not running for President because he has no plans".
Stop the presses! All this time I thought Bush stole the election with the help of cronies on The Supreme Ct.
I'm surprised Yahoo admits Gore lost the 2000 election.
Al is too busy working on his time machine. He will interface it to the internet {which he invented and therefore knows how to write the interface}. This will allow anyone the opportunity to logon through their computer and time travel to a destination of al's choice. His first program will send people back to Nov 2000, and he is confident that this will change the outcome in Florida's election returns.
If his life were in danger tho...I'll bet he could manage a fast walk!
