"It wasn't a preposition, it was part of a phrasal verb."
But it's still wrong, right?
Wrong. It's right.
Interesting assumption. I wonder what type of people head these media/ad companies? All leftists? Perhaps something else?
Regardless of who's heading these companies--their clients are still buying this crap. What does that say about the clients? They don't know what they're getting...they don't know they can ask for something else? Are the ad firms telling their clients, "This is what's pulling in the customers?"
Are the ad firms telling their clients, "This is what's pulling in the customers?"
Not all ad firms are headed by lefties. I own my own agency and I know a few other people who own or run agencies who also share my conservative leanings and others who are closet conservatives. I would say the majority of ad people are libs (from my experience).
Why the insult stuff makes it past clients who should know better is that it can get attention and breakthrough the clutter. Sometimes people can make a case that an insult can educate and besides it's not really the customer they're insulting it's the person who's not a customer. "You don't want to be like that dummy. You want to be cool and hip and buy our product."
Not sure what kind cretins we have running Madison Ave. behind the scenes but if they are to be judged by the fruits of their labor, I would suggest going to Yahoo and keyword "rules-communist-revolution" and see how that compares to what's happening today. If that's not enough compare the Communist Manifesto to our Constitution and see where fedgov control of public schools, central bank, progressibe income tax, etc. is provided for and I think you'll find some surprising info. Also, check out my link below and listen today if you get time.
This is pretty funny. I think he heard Vijay was "Indian" and didn't realize he was from India. But an otherwise very good piece.
Vijay is from Fiji. Close.
Vijay may be from Fiji, but with a name like that, he is undoubtedly ethnically Indian. Indians have communities from Africa across to Malaysia and Vietnam.
