Blind allegience was derided during the clinton years. Why do some accept it - heck, even expect it - now?
Well....because it's their guys in power now, not the other guys. So things like overspending, open borders and blind allegiance to Party over Principle are not a problem.

The president has framed the debate over Harriet Miers, at least with conservatives, as a choice between trusting him or trusting your own judgment. That's a rather strange way to defend a nominee, is it not?
