I see your point, but is the Hispanic a Catholic? You see, I seriously doubted that he would nominate another Catholic, because that would make five.

I have been told about another name, but I just can't reveal it. She wasn't nominated, so it really doesn;t matter... until next time.

I agree with you. The Miss Cleo in me thinks he's getting at least one more, if not two

Consuela Callahan-don't know if she is Catholic but I did read a smary article about her when she was on the short list-she has a hobby of tap dancing and the article related how she once gave a speech and after her speech she took off her robe and climbed up on the table and did a spiffy tap dance and said, I am not a tap dancing judge. Now you just know this was taken out of context but I feared right away this story would make the rounds if she were nominated and she would be made a fool of.

I'm thinking one of the other justices has told Bush that he/she will have to leave the Bench soon and he has asked him/her to wait till he gets the O'Connor seat filled. Can you imagine the chaos if we had two vacancies simultaneously?

In a perfect world, W could name the best qualified person, be it be a WASP or whatever. But our society demands "diversity".

What difference does it make if the nominee is Catholic, Jewish, Hindu or any other religion. Do we need a litmus test about that too?
