Oh, no, I assume that not only would my true faults be examined (of which I have all too many), but that every human foible I ever had would be exaggerated beyond recognition.
My point is that people lying about me and trashing my reputation for all of eternity would be far less grievous than what we ask our soldiers to do for us.
I am more than willing to have someone put out lies about me than I am to let my children know that I would not do my duty to preserve our country. In fact, if it should come to that, I would prefer that my country be preserved for my children than that they have a good opinion of me personally. (oh, but what an awful choice!)
