how many times has it been pointed out that the hearings wont tell us anything? that doesnt stop you people from say "wait till the hearings"...give me a break. she will likely invoke the ginsburg rule on matters that will come before the court--even if she DID answer the questions-- this does NOT mean that she would NOT drift leftward within 5-10 years.

Some people can glean a lot about the capacity to serve as a justice from the questions asked. They do not ALL have to be about Roe v Wade. Listening to Roberts made many realize that he was fully deserving to be on the Court. Those whose litmus test he didn't pass are a tiny minority.
Thanks for pointing out the silliness of the hearings argument. The pointless speeches by the Senators will reveal nothing.
This time, watch for Dumbocrat Senators to give long speeches on how the conservatives mistreaded Miers and all the nine yards. They will come across as reasonable people.
