Your logic is twisted.If I judged a group of people by my childhood and teenage experiences I would hate and distrust white people since they are the ones who brought me such torment and misery growing up.
When I became an ADULT,i saw that these white thugs didn't represent all whites just as the black gangsta types are but a small minority of black folks.
We get into shaky ground when we base feelings toward a group on unfortunate events of our younger days.

I just finished a conversation with a black co-worker who is choir director in his church. And then I pulled us FR and found this thread.

It seems his drummer was fired by the pastor. His offense? A 14 yr old black thug stole a pistol out of the drummers car at church. The drummer is a part-time body guard. Seems the church was trying to rehabilitate the thug. He had actually been at service that Sunday but snuck out. Went to the parking lot, broke out a window and stole the pistol. When they were seen and ran away, they fired the gun in the air several times. So the pastor used that excuse, that because the thug fired the gun it endangered the congregation and that was the drummers fault too.

I tried to clarify the situation. I couldn't believe that the church was blaming the victim for the thugs criminal behavior. But, sadly, that is exactly what happened. They are blaming the drummer for having a gun in his car and for the thug shooting the gun. After all, if he hadn't had the gun, the kid might not have broken in the car and he surely wouldn't have fired it!

I swear, sometimes I feel like grabbing people around the neck and shaking them. This illustrates to me exactly what is wrong in the black community and with young people today. Enabling and making excuses for criminal behavior is just wrong and stupid and inexcusable and idiotic.

You didn't read my post. My experiences STARTED in childhood and have continued, unabated right up to and including the thugish menacing incident I described from last night. Oh well. I will continue to do what I need to do to protect my family and to teach my children to ignore the PC sycophants and follow their gut. I want them to survive, even if someones feelings get hurt. BTW, the "gangsta / thug" types are NOT even close to being a minority. In my experience the decent ones are. It's a big problem.
