A man held in connection with the disappearance of Virginia Commonwealth University student Taylor Behl, already facing 16 child pornography charges, has now been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Ben Fawley, 38, an amateur photographer who admitted to having a sexual relationship with the 17-year-old Behl, "was in possession of firearms prior to Taylor being reported missing," police said.

Give him the needle.
A felon with a gun!
Let's make another law to stop this.
(liberal kneejerk reaction off)
Yeah, I agree. I fully expected him to blame it on aliens.
I just found out last night that this man is from where I live. Creepy. He's the second murderer of young women/woman that has hailed from our beautiful bucolic county that seems so safe.
Funny!
What is a convicted felon doing on the street?
No way!
good point
I knew he was from PA, but had assumed it was from western PA because of the OH vehicle plates. This is a beautiful little town north of Philly. I keep telling my own beautiful daughter to be wary. I used to walk with her to the bus stop even when she was in high school. My husband and mother-in-law thought I was crazy, but I did it becaues she had to wait alone and I couldn't see her from the house. I wasn't wrong or over-protective. We have criminals who have at least come through here.
What the heck is the matter with parents who would let their 17 yo daughter run around with a 38 yo man?? Are they insane, or just incredibly stupid?
It never hurts to be overprotective.

Probably just liberal (which, of course, means insane AND incredibly stupid).
I don't believe the mother knew. The father , on the other hand, had dropped his daughter off at a place in Richmond and Fawley was their roommate. What the heck was he thinking or not thinking?
"Ben Fawley, 38, an amateur photographer..."
I guess anybody who owns a camera is an "amateur photographer". I hate it when the media says crap like that.
What town? (I checked the links given but couldn't find it.)
(steely)
If he's served his time, he'll be out on the street.
Yeah, I think his "amateur photography" was a ruse to impress young coeds. That seems to be his M.O.
Well, Rodney King was driving just before his richly-deserved beating, so he became "Los Angeles motorist, Rodney King."
