Some of us find it incredible that the President will send our men and women to die in Iraq, but he himself cowers from a battle in the Senate.

If nothing else, he owes it to the military votes that in large part elected him in 2000 to put on his manhood and fight for what's right.

I think that's what this is all about for some of you - the need for a fight. I think it's about getting a stict constructionist on the Court, and that person does not have to be a a high-profile, feisty Ann Coulter type.

No point on fighting if you are starting with a filibuster and you do not have the votes to overturn it.

In all fairness to Bush, he could have left O'Connor there until the Republicans knew they had the votes.
