Don't forget - Miers has a lukewarm attitude (at best) towards the Federalist Society. She has always been a supporter of the liberal ABA.

Not when the President has a proven track record on putting Conservative judges on the court. The Republicans backed away from a fight and Bush is smart enough to know that Luttig, Brown and Owen will not be confirmed because of those 14 sellouts.
The Conservatives are playing to their base so their campaign contributions do not dry up. They are cutting off their own nose to spite their face.
