Another thing you need to know; Jack London was wrong! It's the easiest thing in the world to build a fire in the middle of the wilderness, unless you're from the city, where fire is unknown. Then you'll need the help of someone who has lived among the trees.

A good fire also makes the wind die down, and if you're hungry, a rabbit will be attracted to the warmth.
