"I would not send any child to a NYC public school. Period."
Hmm. I'm a product of NYC Public Schools; Brooklyn, as a matter of fact. So are my children. I guess we don't meet your standards. Or maybe we're just, I don't know...tougher?
Perhaps we should have minced our way out to the Sacred Heart Academy? Oh, well, too late now...
Sorry about what happened to the kids, but they should have stayed in Oklahoma. Mom should go to school, she could try teaching and experience "diversity" first hand rather than subjecting her children to physical danger. Mom sounds like a liberal dunce. Those children will live in fear until they are able to get out of there, hope it's soon.Very sad.
In what way?
That's some joke *lol*
What the heck did she expect when she moved her kids to a city where their (non-custodial) social worker father "could more easily find work"? Cities where there are always plenty of jobs for social workers are cities where there are lots and lots of seriously screwed up people. And those people put their kids in the public schools, and the kids stay there no matter how criminal their behavior, because the loony-lefty social workers won't have it any other way!
From Casablanca:
Major Strasser: Are you one of those people who cannot imagine the Germans in their beloved Paris?
Rick: It's not particularly my beloved Paris.
Heinz: Can you imagine us in London?
Rick: When you get there, ask me!
Captain Renault: Hmmh! Diplomatist!
Major Strasser: How about New York?
Rick: Well there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade.
Why would a new school administration allow racial abuse to occur on campus? That is ridiculous. Action should be taken against the school. I can't believe the principle would not even return the phone calls of a troubled mother. However, the parents should have taken their kids out of the situation before it escalated into daily abuse. What kind of parents would drop off their kids at a school every day where it was a known fact that they were being harrassed. I feel bad for the two little boys.
2. They had no class, and every other word out of their mouth was sh-t or f-ck.
3. They acted like thugs, despite coming from two parent homes.
Papaya King is still going strong on East 86th. THE ELIXER OF LIFE!
I know no racist whites, but I know many racist blacks. I wonder why that is?
I prefer South florida eating a lobster tail from clean water.
There was a "hick" born in
Lamar Missouri named Harry Truman
Plus several generals born in Kansas and Missouri
Chrysler from Kansas
Earhart from Kansas
Disney from Missouri
Will Rogers from Oklahoma
...
Lets all join in!
It all depends on life experiences. As I said before, black racism is usually expressed in words and through confrontation, while whites express racism through actions and condecension. In the blue collar burbs of NYC, racism is alive and well. There is a reason why school districts on Lawn Guyland are drawn so that one district is 98% white, with the one next door being 98% nonwhite (hint: they often do not coincide with town boundaries).
painfully and dangerously naive folks
and evangelical too
folks here think evangelical guarantees conservatism
not exactly
South Florida = Scarsdale, NY South, especially Boca Raton.
You're right about the red lining on Long Island. I know about that personally.
Funny, really...I only became aware of racially-derogatory terms after meeting my husband's family. It is one of the thing I always detested about his family and I still am unaware of the meaning of most of the terms. No one I know, or would associate with, ever uses them.
