A few years ago, my m-in-law went through a kind of "housewife midlife crisis" and deviated from her "regular 7" menu. It was horrible. She's VERY GOOD at making those 7 dishes, but nothing else.
I didn't learn to cook until after I was married - my poor husband........;^)
