Transformation is a tricky business. The U.S. military is discovering that fact on a daily basis in Iraq. And at home, U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is reckoning with the obstacles to his ambition of transforming the U.S. military for the 21st century.

When you read this keep in mind that the war in Iraq is not the way we fought in any war - today rather than obliterate the enemy, we do surgical strikes to lessen the damage to property and civilians leaving them to kill us .apparently the Politically Correct thing to do. And for a short time, we could count on all services to work together apparently some of the brass are back at back stabbing each other for a piece of the action, warranted or not. Rumsfeld nearly had the brass at peace with each other, working well together within the Pentagon.
I know what I would do to save lives and money
