I will.
Kristol just seems a little to happy and eager to report bad news. As Brit indicates it may all be based upon lies.
Based on Kristol's poor track record of predictions and his bias against Bush, I'll wait and see what happens.
There's no way that he could know this. Isn't this just speculation (again)?
A couple of notable things in this sentence. First, notice that they are people "friendly" to the administration. Not involved. Not in the know, but friendly. Well, I'm friendly. Do I count?
Second, if lawyers are not worried about indictments I'm worried about how good they are. After all, that is their job.
Finally, pundits are paid to speculate on very little information. Krystol fulfilled the terms of his contract. And Brit, blessings be upon him, fulfilled the terms of his, succinctly and effectively slapping Krystol upside the head.
Maybe but I have no confidence that Fitzgerald is pursuing anything other than a DNC agenda. That piece of scum Wilson should be hanging from the gallows.
Good points, all.
It is actually an indictment against Krystol for impersonating a journalist.
For the libbies...the more lies they spew or spin...the more people will start believing them...irregardless if facts come out to the contrary...because anything that comes out to the contrary will arrive too late and get buried by the media.
Kristol and Barnes both work for Rupert Murdoch.
I'm past that point with him.
Let him speculate and gossip all he wants.
He is not helping himself, nor his "boss".
A sure sign that Kristol is completely losing it was his reaction to Brit Hume's discussion about the choice of Miers.
Hume said that when the White House vetted some of the other candidates, it turned out that some of them had a lot of activism in their background; he never said which ones or what he had heard.
Without taking a breath, Kristol started ranting about the White House TRASHING the other nominees to make Miers look good.
Brit had to use his "I'm the grownup here, stop it" voice to reel him back in.
IMO, Kristol had a pick for the USSC and is furious that Bush didn't agree with him.
I don't know why you would characterize Fitzgerald as a "Ronnie Earle wannabe"
Bush appointed him as US District Attorney in the Central District, which covers Chicago, and he has been cleaning house with all the corrupt SOBs he happens upon, regardless of party affiliation.
I think he's a patriot, and will do what the law requires, not what politicians want.
Drumming up TV talking head business.
The criticism of Kristol is wildly overblown. He's just speculating and pointing out the guy is a serious prosecutor. So what.
"Criminal defense lawyers I've spoken to who are friendly to the administration are very worried that there will be one or more indictments in the next three weeks of senior administration officials," the influential editor told "Fox News Sunday."
What we're reading is speculation by unknown sources who claim to be "friendly" with the White House.
There is strength in numbers. That's right. But Fitzgerald is not an Earle wannabe, as many on FR can attest.
I still wonder what's up with Kristol and why he would come up with this.
Well, I'm a good strong Republican, a Bush supporter and consider myself a conservative. Kristol, Coulter, Limbaugh do NOT speak for me. Too much ego, no common sense.
What if the "bad news" is Cheney and/or Bush himself indicted? Or, almost as bad, named as unindicted co-conspirators?
