there are videos of a child rapist in what appears to be pakistan or a philipino and they execute him by sitting him on a 5 ft stake, gravity fed slowly.

That is apparently an ancient, time-honored tradition in Africa as well.  I believe that it's commonly called 'impaling' or 'impalement'.  It was featured in the TV movie/series Shaka Zulu, and even when sanitized for prime time TV it was still utterly horrific.  It was portrayed as being popular among the tribes as one of the preferred forms of execution when they wanted to send a message of some sort.

More popularly known as the basis of the character Dracula these days..

Impalement was also used by the Romans "extensively" and was common throughout the Middle East..
