It is a ridiculous thought to think that nobody will oppose this option. Stem cell research will always be an issue, especially when politicians are opposing issues they are lacking information on. Much research can and is being done using other options besides aborted babies, yet this seemed to be one of Bush's concerns. It seems hard to believe that stem cell research will ever be accepted by all.

I don't know what you mean by this. Almost everyone I know is perfectly happy with stem cell research using cord blood or adult stem cells (and maybe now amniotic fluid).
Fetal stem cell research is a different thing.
